Ministry Teams
Every member at Kadesh has a unique, God given talent for ministry. By serving in a ministry that best expresses how God made you, you contribute to the lives being changed. Kadesh would not be what it is today, if it were not for people like you serving in ministry.
Reverend Gregory L. Foster II, Senior Pastor

Purpose:
The Servant Leaders Team serves the members and the ministries of this church, by leading them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, caring for and maintaining our place of worship, and by being good stewards over the resources God has blessed us with.
As an object lesson, Jesus modeled the servant leader. He bent down and washed the feet of His Disciples, teaching them the true measure of leading by first serving others. We emulate His example, in both spiritual and practical ways, by seeking to invest ourselves in the lives of others with love and humility on Christ’s behalf so that, as a whole, this church community is challenged to grow to be more like Christ. Just as Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve, our focus is to Serve First!
Scriptures:
Matthew 20:25-28 “But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Philippians 2:1-4 “Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

Reverend Angel Glenn, Associate Pastor of Discipleship
Email: angelrise2013@gmail.com
Purpose:
The Discipleship Team helps educate and edify the people of God in ways that will assist them to grow spiritually, and equip them for ministry and service.
Christian Discipleship begins when one accepts and continues the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ. When we accept Christ, the Holy Spirit informs us to be more Christ-like. It’s the believer’s job to respond to the Holy Spirit by examining our thoughts, words and actions and comparing them with the Word of God. This requires that we be in the Word daily; studying it, praying over it, and obeying it. It is our prayer, that as we study the Word of God, our love for Him increases, our service for Him intensifies, and we will be forever changed into the full image of Christ our Lord.
Scriptures:
Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
2nd Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Reverend Phyllis Foster, Associate Pastor of Fellowship
Purpose:
The Fellowship Team at Kadesh Baptist Church builds relationships by connecting church members with each other, with other fellow Christians, and with Jesus Christ.
Christian fellowship is important because we believe it’s essential for the unbeliever to see our love for one another, and for the spiritual growth of the believer. For the unbeliever, the love Christians have for one another can influence them toward faith in Jesus Christ. The lost need us! For the believer, many aspects of our spiritual lives depend on us being together with other believers to pray, encourage, teach, serve, hold accountable, and to share with one another. As iron sharpens iron, through Christian fellowship, we sharpen one another’s faith, that we might be the love of God, all for the glory of God. We need each other!
Scriptures:
Acts 2:42 “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
1st John 1:1-3 “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life, the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us, that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

Reverend Denise Gray, Associate Pastor of Missions & Evangelism
Purpose:
The Missions and Evangelism Team seeks to win souls for Christ, by demonstrating His love, meeting the needs of a hurting humanity, and obeying Christ commandment to share His gospel both here and abroad humbly, boldly, and passionately.
We use our testimony to share both the bad news of sin and judgment and the good news of salvation. The Holy Spirit empowers our testimony with wisdom and strength, as He works through us, calling sinners to repentance and faith in Christ Jesus. Christ accomplished on the cross at Calvary, what people are unable to do for themselves. Giving us the free gift of salvation, by providing Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Not because we deserved it or earned it, but because of His love, grace and mercy. Amen
Scriptures:
Matthew 25:35-40
“… ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; ‘I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? ‘When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? ‘Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”
