Pastoral Biographies

Dr. Gregory Lewis Foster, Sr. has been the Pastor of Kadesh Baptist Church since April 1982. He received his Masters in Theology from Ashland Theological Seminary and Doctorate Degree from Logos University.

Bishop Foster is married to Co-Pastor Phyllis Foster. He is a father, grandfather, preacher, teacher and, most importantly, a servant of God. He exudes excellence in all that he does for God and does not consider mediocrity a choice.

Many lives have been changed, souls saved, and spirits delivered through his powerful teaching and preaching. BUT most of all, he wants you to know that he is Born Again and has dedicated his life to serving the Lord whole heartedly.

Because of his stewardship and faithfulness Pastor Foster was elevated to the office of Bishop by the Interdenominational Assembly of Churches, Incorporated under the leadership of Presiding Prelate, Bishop Andre S. Woods.  Bishop Foster is currently the Presiding Bishop of the Interdenominational Assembly of Churches (IAC).

Pastor Gregory Foster II grew up in Detroit and is a proud Graduate of Michigan State University.  He currently is employed in the Detroit School System, where he works with youth helping them develop their reading, math and social skills.

In 2006, at Kadesh Baptist Church, Pastor Greg was named Youth Director and in 2008 after being licensed and ordained he was called to the position of Youth Pastor.  In 2011 Pastor Greg was elevated to Co-Pastor were he served as the Pastor of the church’s 8am service until January 2015 when he took over at the 11am worship service.

As a life-long member of Kadesh, and under the leadership of Bishop Gregory Sr. and Pastor Phyllis Foster, he continues to serve God by serving the church.  He believes in what the bible teaches and uses these teachings while working to build the Kingdom of God.  Yes, he is a child of The Most High and tries to live a life that reflects not just who he is but whose he is!
